So Friday evening, my oldest sister rented out space at my workplace to throw a bash for my niece (who turned 12 on the 21st). I got her the space for free by the way, and helped "guard" or chaperone rather. Anyway, boooy can 12 year olds party! The event was very well attended. I was excited for my niece... can't believe she's a preteen already! There was junk food galore. I'm not really used to eating a lot of junk food, so I scarfed down quite a bit and have a tummy ache to show for it. (blech). Some tweens came in costumes and others tried on the costumes we had in the rented space. This one little boy came as Rick James! hahahaha, it was sooo funny. I tried to get him to say, "I'm Rick James, BEEYATCH!" But then my 19 year old sister stopped me before I could get to the "BEYATCH" part. hahahaha. Oh well, woulda been fun. Um.. these little girls looked like they were 17 or 18. I can't believe how mature some of these 12-14 year-olds look. I took lot of digitals and hope to download them so I can share. Inspired by "You Got Served" The girls decided to split up into teams and have a dance-off. Um, can you say, watch rap videos much?? They were shaking their asses and hips like they were auditioning to be in a Nelly video, and dropped it like it was HOT quite a few times. (Good thing R. Kelly wasn't in the room...(yiiikes). One girl said she was just too fabulous to be on a team and that she was a solo act, and was therefore destined for greatness- (insert eye-roll). After the competition, the winner who generated the most applause were the best dancers. The "solo diva act" got the least and stomped off angrily, hahahahahaahahahahaha!!! Anyway, the party wrapped up at around 10pm, after clean-up, I got home at about 11pm, and fed my new hamster, who was trying to gnaw the bars of the cage! I honestly need to get a new cage without bars, and a roll around ball, this thing is crazier than hell, and wants out baad!- and then I crashed, with my upset tummy and wicked sinus infection.
